Hello, this article will walk you through filing a People Ops (HR) report.

Reporting someone to People Ops (HR) is an important step to address workplace issues, such as harassment, discrimination, misconduct, or other violations of company policies. Here's a suggested step-by-step guide on how to report someone to HR:

Review company policies: Before taking any action, familiarize yourself with Innovas’ company's policies and procedures regarding reporting issues to HR. These policies can be found in the employee handbook.

Document the issue: Gather evidence and document the details of the issue as thoroughly as possible. Include dates, times, locations, and any witnesses if applicable. Keep records of any relevant emails, messages, or other communication that may support your case.

Speak to your immediate supervisor (if appropriate): Depending on the nature of the issue, it may be appropriate to first discuss your concerns with your immediate supervisor or manager. They may be able to address the problem directly or guide you on how to proceed.

Contact HR: If discussing the issue with your supervisor doesn't resolve the problem or if the issue involves your supervisor, contact your HR department at [email protected] or call Laura Collman or Jordon Stempel directly, see the company directory for contact information.

Schedule a meeting: Reach out to HR to schedule a private meeting to discuss the issue. You may need to provide a brief overview of the problem to help HR assess the situation and allocate the appropriate resources.

Prepare for the meeting: Before the meeting, review your documentation and prepare to explain the issue clearly and objectively. Be honest and specific about your concerns, and avoid making unsupported accusations.

During the meeting:

Maintain professionalism: Stay calm and composed during the meeting. Stick to the facts and avoid emotional outbursts.

Provide evidence: Present any evidence or documentation you have collected to support your claims.

Ask questions: Seek clarification on the HR process, the expected timeline for resolution, and any actions HR plans to take.

Follow up: After the meeting, stay in touch with HR to check on the progress of the investigation or any actions taken. Continue to document any developments related to the issue.

Respect confidentiality: HR will keep the details of the investigation confidential to protect all parties involved. Avoid discussing the issue with coworkers to maintain professionalism and protect the privacy of everyone involved.
